I write from the heart and I make my best effort to get the words on the page properly but as you'll see I don't always succeed. I ask you to enjoy what I write and post but to be understanding and kind. Brian

If you ever wanted to see the view of two humans that have lost their minds....here we are, 103 stories over-looking Chicago in a glass box.
I must say I enjoyed it much more looking at this picture after the fact.
Just wanted to keep you all updated. The packet for the book was sent out on Monday, April 25th. We will be waiting for feedback about re-writes or to see if I need to make more samples or sketches. So WISH US LUCK!!!!!
The Building is the former Sears Tower renamed the Willis Tower the tallest building in North America.
Just wanted you to see what fun I had in Chicago this last weekend .
Had great plans to see David Sedaris at a great theater good times had by all.
This is a few pix of a fun time i had i hope you like.
I just wanted you all to know my Heart goes out to my dear friend Chris Ophsal and her mom Gert. They lost her older brother and son in a car accident on the afternoon of last Sunday , I know the viewing is today and the funeral is tomorrow. We are all thinking about Chris and her Mother Gert, the honoree from the High Tea.
We all wish you peace in your up and coming days.
The sun will shine again, and i want you to know you will always have good friends to get you through, love to you and all of yours.
Its a frozen Charlotte riding the back of a feather and cotton dove with a floral wreath around his neck made of buttons, punched papers, silk ribbon and last but not least my new letters i found in Ohio on an antiquing trip.
Plates made for each guest with their photo image applied on the back created a great setting.
The menu consisted of watercress and goat cheese sandwiches, cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches, two kinds of chicken salad (curry & regular,) fresh fruit, clotted cream and scones with lemon curd caringly made by Kevin.
If you look closely, or tap on the picture to blow it up, you can see the detail of the place mat, napkin ring, favor badge located on the knife, and a gift of a tussy mussy standing in their glass.
I challenge you to invite a few of your friends and create a day to remember. I assure you you won't regret it nor will they.
They will talk of it for years to come...........
Just wanted to wet your palette. This is a quilt that I finished some time ago. This is very close to the style you will see in my new book that will be out in the Spring of 2011. They all have a tendency to have an old world style and look. Many of my old family photos have been put on fabric to use in these quilts. This will be the style I will be on the road teaching; so start looking for the schedule in the new year.
These are two of the ladies that inspired me in my life.
The lady in the front of this photo is my grandmother, Etta Mae.
The other lady is her daughter,Juanita, my grandmother.
Both were very handy at crafting and quilting, and have inspired me
to continue my bliss in the same manner.
