My Dyslexia

Having the skill to write, spell, and punctuate has never been my strong suit. Growing up as a young child I was always nurtured to be creative and artistic which came naturally to me but I could never quite grasp written language. I now know that it's a learning disabilty with a name: DYSLEXIA.

I write from the heart and I make my best effort to get the words on the page properly but as you'll see I don't always succeed. I ask you to enjoy what I write and post but to be understanding and kind. Brian

Traveling to the Wild West

We are sitting in Chicago O'Hare waiting for our flight to Albuquerque where we'll get a car and head to Santa Fe to film an episode of The Quilt Show with Alex Anderson and Ricky Timms.  When we ran into Alex last fall at Market in Houston she said "you're going to be on my show" and she meant it!

I just made two new Crazy Quilter best friends.  I dedided that the women sitting next to me had that quilting look about them. Not being shy I asked them if they quilted...they do...we had a fun chat.

I just signed up for Twitter.  You can follow me @CrazyHaberDash. I'll start Tweeting as soon as I figure out how.

By for now blog friends!

Hi Brian, one of my friends here in Melbourne Australia, mentioned you on her blog, so I had to come and investigate. So glad I did - I love your quilting and stitching, especially the memory quilts. I've just finished one myself, but nowhere near as beautiful as yours! I read back to where you write about your hot air balloon flight and I can relate to your excitement. I had a hot air balloon flight over Melbourne for my 50th birthday and loved every second of it!
Cheers,
Gina in Australia

I've spent several hours today studying your beautiful book! Our quilt guild librarian just added to our library and I immediately signed it out. I just love crazy quilting and your stuff is so exciting looking! I can't wait to try some of the stitches and ideas. I will be buying my own copy of the book first chance that I get. She bought it at the quilt show in Bloomington,IN in case you wonder about that. You do gorgeous work and the ideas are so fascinating to see.
